Fundraising for Cystic Fibrosis

In Memory of Michelle Quaid

A very close friend once taught me the value of living every moment of your life without regrets and seizing every opportunity. In memory of Michelle and to help keep her memory and ethos alive a small group of us have decided to put a couple of challenges together starting with:

  • Snowdon - we attempted this earlier this year however, gale force winds and hale prevented us from making the summit due to safety reasons but believe me we tried and will be back!
  • Amsterdam Half Marathon - Michelle loved running and the associated health benefits. On Sunday October 20th 2019 we will be putting lacing our trainings for our first Half Marathon. It will be a challenge but a very welcome one.
  • I have also entered another Half Marathon in North Wales in September so having never run over 5K in my life as an athlete my running shoes are going to get well and truly dusted off.

Cystic fibrosis is a cruel condition that prevents most from living beyond their 30s. Our friend sadly didn't make it in to hers. If you would like to help support me and my friends on this journey and see if we can raise some money to help support research that will hopefully help future sufferers then please find the link to our fundraising page.

Thank you.
